POWER 4 ALL Completes 13.5kWp Hybrid Solar System for DA RFO 5 - RAED

POWER 4 ALL formally handed over a 13.5kWp Hybrid Roof-Mounted Solar System to the Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Office 5 (DA RFO 5) - Regional Agriculture Engineering Division (RAED), in the presence of beneficiaries from various cooperatives in the Camarines Sur area. These cooperatives include:

  • Danawin Agrarian Reform Cooperative
  • Oragon Farmers Agriculture Cooperative
  • CamSur Multi-Purpose Cooperative
  • Pili Market Development Cooperative
  • Bikolanas Agriculture CooperativE
  • Agdangan Tagongtong Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative
  • Cabangal Palsong Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries and Fisherfolks Cooperative

Before the official handover, POWER 4 ALL provided a “Solar 101” basic training to the cooperatives. This session covered essential topics, including the operation of solar components, the conversion of harvested solar energy from 12V Direct Current (DC) to 220V Alternating Current (AC)—which is suitable for most household appliances—and load management techniques to prevent battery overloading and maximize the system's lifespan. Basic troubleshooting skills were also shared to help beneficiaries manage any issues that may arise during system downtimes, ensuring peace of mind.

INSPIRE Project: Reviving the Swine Industry with Solar-Powered Facilities
The INSPIRE Project aims to address the ongoing challenges faced by the pig industry, particularly the spread of African Swine Fever in the region. This initiative focuses on revitalizing and strengthening pig production by providing clean and comfortable environments for livestock. Each facility is designed to accommodate up to 100 piglets.

To ensure comfort and efficiency, each swine facility is equipped with four industrial fans, cooling pads, and pressurized water systems to maintain cleanliness in the staging area.

Solar-Powered Systems: Reducing Costs and Enhancing Productivity

The solar-powered systems installed in the facilities are more than sufficient to meet their energy needs. These systems will significantly reduce electricity costs, with an expected 90% reduction in bills as solar energy becomes the primary power source. The grid will serve only as a backup, ensuring a reliable power supply without the risk of power outages. As stated by Mam Evelyn, President of the Cabangal Palsong Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries and Fisherfolks Cooperative, “Best of all, NO MORE BROWNOUTS!”
