Vertical Axis Wind Turbines

VAWTs are wind turbines with blades that rotate around a vertical axis, perpendicular to the ground. Unlike Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines (HAWTs), VAWTs do not need to face the wind, making them ideal for urban areas, rooftop installations, and locations with changing wind directions. Other key advantages over HAWT include smaller footprint, lower noise levels, easier maintenance and better performance in low wind conditions.
