DINALUNGAN, AURORA – May 7, 2025 – Technology company POWER 4 ALL officially turned over a solar-powered irrigation system to the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) at the Aurora Province Coconut Development Center (APCDC) in Brgy. Dibaraybay, Dinalungan.
The turnover follows the completion of testing conducted on May 6, 2025, by the Agricultural Machinery Testing and Evaluation Center (AMTEC) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).
The system is expected to irrigate approximately 2,500 coconut trees, with priority given to about 1,000 hybrid coconut trees. This supports the APCDC’s role as a major hybridization site and seedling source for coconut farmers across the country
Powered by solar energy, the irrigation system provides a reliable and sustainable water supply—particularly important in remote areas with limited access to electricity.
This project is part of PCA’s ongoing efforts to modernize coconut farming by introducing climate-smart and environment-friendly technologies that help improve farmers' productivity and resilience.
