The La Salle GS64HS68 donated 61 high tech solar lights that can light up to 12 hours on a single charge under the sun to recipients in Sitio Nanilab and Sito Tininawan, La Carlota recently, Leonito Lopue said.
The recipients walked 2 to 3 hours from their homes that were inaccessible to vehicles and have no electricity in their area, he said.
Aside from the solar lights, medicines, groceries and food were also given, he added.
They assembled at the gym of Brgy. Ara-al with Kagawad Jose Garfil Jr. who welcomed the La Salle Alumni composed of Lopue, Butch Ebreo, Edwin Torrecarion, Juan Dacles, and Lito Lacson.
The “Let there be light” project will be distributing 1,000 solar lights to families living in darkness in Negros, Lopue said.*
